Grupo holandés del estilo Gothic Metal. Su estilo particular mezcla la voz mezzo-soprano de Simone Simons acompañada con guitarras melódicas y contundentes, usando en ocasiones gruñidos death, coros y pasajes en latín. Su primer disco, The Phantom Agony (Transmission, 2003), tuvo gran éxito en su país y resto de Europa. Mark Jansen, el guitarrista, compone y dirige. Fue ex-componente de After Forever. Miembros: Simone Simons(Voz): Nacida un 17 de enero de 1985, entró en 2003 a Epica (conocido como Sahara Dust en este tiempo) reemplazando a la cantante Helena Michaelsen. Su voz de mezzo-soprano es inconfundible y junto con los grunts de Mark Jansen, la guitarra de Ad Sluijter, la bateria de Jeron Simons, el bajo de Yves Huts y el teclado de Coen Janssen forman Epica. La banda actualmente está en gira promocionando su último disco. En diciembre hizo escala por primera vez en Latinoamérica, pasando por Brasil, Argentina y Chile. Leaves' Eyes es una banda de Symphonic metal con algunos elementos de folk metal originada en Noruega y Alemania en el 2003, poco después de que la vocalista de Theatre of Tragedy, Liv Kristine fuese expulsada de la banda. Leaves' Eyes fue formada entonces por su marido Alexander Krull y miembros de su grupo Atrocity. En la mayoría de canciones Liv Kristine canta sola pero ocasionalmente añaden la voz gutural de Alexander Krull para darle más ambientación gótica.

“Volkerball” es la grabación en directo de conciertos en Francia; Japón, Inglaterra y Rusia de la gira “Reise, Reise” que llevo a Rammstein entre el 2004 y el 2005 por todo el mundo ante un millón de personas.

Se publica en 3 formatos distintos:

Edición estándar: 1 DVD, 140 minutos de video en directo y 1 CD, de 75 minutos de audio editado en vivo.

Edición especial: 2 DVD, uno con 140 minutos de video en directo y otro con 90 minutos de documentales, incluyendo: “Anakonda Im Netz” y “Reise, Reise: The Making Of The Album” y 1 CD, 75 minutos de audio editado en vivo.

Edición Limitada: Incluye todos los discos de la edición especial más un libro de 190 páginas con fotos de la Gira, en el caso del CD de audio, éste incluye las sesiones completas en directo (140 minutos).
